Are all weighing flexible connectors food safe?

Yes. Both materials (polyurethane and silicone rubber) have undergone extensive independent testing. You can view testing results here.

Can I use weighing flexible connectors to transport fluids?

This is possible but not advised. Our connectors work best with dry bulk product transport.

Can I use weighing bellows in pipes with oscillating or rotary movement?

This is possible but only in systems with minimal deviation. Please consult us if you are unsure.

Are weighing bellows foodsafe or suitable for use in food processing and manufacturing?

Yes. Both silicone and polyurethane bellows are made from food safe materials.

Can I order customized weighing flexible connectors?

Yes. Filcoflex has been creating custom solutions for nearly 30 years. Materials and labor for polyurethane connectors are readily available and can be made immediately upon request. With silicone bellows, however, we have a longer lead time of 14 to 20 weeks excluding revisions.
