No. While our sheets are carefully formulated with our suppliers, our testing in food contact safety and explosion testing are done using end products made with our production methods and knowledge. Any sale of sheet materials can lead to buyers manufacturing their own flexibles without Filcoflex's expertise, therefore leading to high risk and inferior end products.
No. Filcoflex is focused on manufacturing end products from sheet materials and not the sheet materials themselves.
Yes . Our in-house testing protocols are provided by laboratories we work closely with.
Most connectors must resist more than 0.7 bar. Systems usually detect explosions at this number and begin to vent out the overpressure.
The numbers depend on the material. Polyurethane sheets usually range from 1-1.5 Bar.
This depends on the type of flexible material used. Some materials can tolerate up to 300 °C or 572°F.
Fitted
Please consult the Filcoflex Shape Book for detailed information.
We offer DIN and ANSI flanges.
You can find this information in individual product pages or in our Materials Comparison Guide.
For applications with vacuum or overpressure, we recommend adding reinforcement rings.
Weighing
Yes. Both materials (polyurethane and silicone rubber) have undergone extensive independent testing. You can view testing results here.
This is possible but not advised. Our connectors work best with dry bulk product transport.
This is possible but only in systems with minimal deviation. Please consult us if you are unsure.
Yes. Both silicone and polyurethane bellows are made from food safe materials.
Yes. Filcoflex has been creating custom solutions for nearly 30 years. Materials and labor for polyurethane connectors are readily available and can be made immediately upon request. With silicone bellows, however, we have a longer lead time of 14 to 20 weeks excluding revisions.
Inflatable Bulk Bag Clamp
An inflatable bulk bag clamp is a device used to create an airtight and dust-tight seal when filling or emptying bulk bags and containers. It enhances workplace safety by preventing dust and product leakage.
They provide an airtight and dust-tight seal, reducing dust and the risk of fire hazards. They are easy to install and operate, and they contribute to a cleaner work environment.
The Inflatable Bulk Bag Clamp Classic is made of rubber or silicone, while the Pneumatic Bulk Bag Seal Quick Detach (PBS-QD) and Pneumatic Bulk Bag Seal Over Tube (PBS-OT) are made of polyurethane.
Yes
No, the inflatable bag clamps are designed for easy operation and do not require special tools for installation or use.
Yes, Filcoflex offers custom-made inflatable bulk bag clamps in various pipe diameters, bag diameters, and lengths, with custom connection options.

JACOB flexible connections
These can be made from a variety of materials including polyurethane, rubbers, and silicones with thicknesses ranging from 0.3mm to 3.0mm.
Yes, both FDM and FSC connections are suitable for food applications. They are made with materials that meet the requirements for food-grade applications.
We recommend using Filcoflex Quick Connect Clamps for fast assembly. You can opt for Bolt Connect Clamps for increased safety, particularly in dangerous applications.
Yes, both FDM and FSC connections with Jacob couplings are interchangeable with KMH, NORO, and S&W systems.
Yes, both FDM and FSC connections allow for brackets to be welded on to mount electromagnets, sensors, or proximity switches, for safety purposes. Ground studs can also be added.
Hoses
This means that the hose is suitable for both simple and advanced end-use applications such as in medical, laboratory, and pharmaceutical use.
USP Class VI is a testing requirement from the US Pharmacopeia (USP), an organization that sets standards for testing materials that are used for medical and surgical purposes. To be recognized under Class VI, materials must undergo three tests: systemic toxicity test, an intracutaneous test, and an implantation test. USP Class VI has the most difficult set of tests among the USP Classes.
Silicone, Polyurethane, and Rubber (Natural gum rubber, EPDM, and Nitrile)
Please refer to individual product pages. The maximum length for seamless silicone and polyurethane hose on roll is 3000mm. Rubber tubing and spiral hoses can be ordered in longer lengths.
Our system transports abrasive products, which hose should I use?
Yes. You can download our testing reports here.
We recommend the Spiral Hose for explosive environments.
We recommend opting for the Hose on Roll variants. Spiral Hoses are more suited for specialized applications.
Tri-Clamp flexible connections
They offer airtight and leak-proof connections, hygienic designs with no hollow bodies, customization options, reusable metal parts, replaceable gaskets, and options for integrating sensors and switches.
Yes, they are pressure resistant and suitable for CIP (Clean-in-Place).
Yes, they can be customized with a variety of flexible materials, sizes, and flange options. Please reach out to us.
The minimum length is 100mm, and there is no maximum length.
The LFR connection is made by pressing stainless steel ferrules onto the flexible connection, creating an airtight seal and smooth flow profile.
LFR can be used with a 2-bolt clamp or hinged clamp, with options for wing nuts, hexagon nuts, tool release, or lock nuts.
Yes, brackets can be welded to the flanges to mount electromagnets, sensors, or proximity switches for safety and detection purposes.
The LFDDC is assembled using different components, with at least one side fitted with a Tri-Clamp flange. It uses a bolt pattern flange, with a machined or welded tri-clamp flange.
Available materials include AISI 316 L, AISI 304, Hastelloy, PTFE, Duplex, Aluminum, and Uranus.
The adapter flange length is 34mm, with longer lengths available upon request.
The HECHT Tri-Clamp bellow is molded from one piece, providing its own seal and eliminating the need for a separate gasket.
It has a conical asymmetrical design with a 60° bottom angle to prevent powder collection.
The HECHT Tri-Clamp is available in silicone, EPDM, and antistatic EPDM.
Yes, it is pressure resistant up to 100 mbar.
Filcoflex specializes in design and manufacture of polyurethane, silicone, rubber, and textile flexible connections for bulk product transport.
